Streaming is Great for Seniors to keep up with life & culture! And it helped all of us to survive during Covid, Thetes plenty of room for Digital & Theatrical. Gives EVERYONE the power of choice, especially when both are offered!!
"Chilled monkey brains" I loved the Temple of Doom. I also liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. People forget these are lighter entertainments not Shoah.
Raiders is indeed a perfect movie, and my ATF. It remains perfect even despite Indy's complete inconsequentiality, as observed by Amy on Big Bang Theory:
Off topic, I just saw Cyrano, Joe Williams' recent film version of the stage play. Freaking good; the music was a huge surprise. Two stunning songs jumped out, Roxanne's song, and the Soldiers' song before going into battle. Anyone else see this gem? Can I recommend it (Amazon Prime)?
After thinking about why critics and movie goers have such different tastes, this comment here tells me Sonny gets it. Having watched enough critically acclaimed movies, I get the other side too.
I get Netflix’s strategy, but that being said, why only one week instead of 3? I would’ve kept it in theaters all that way until 12/16. Let people go out and see it and create buzz.
I’m sure there are some people that will sign up over Christmas to watch it, but I’m guessing that a lot of the people that will make up the Glass Onion’s millions of minutes viewed are already subscribers.
Why not get them to pay for the movie ticket (which I did) and then watch it again via their subscription (which I pay)?
Anyway, that episode on Disney Parks was fascinating. As mention in the discussion, it make it seem like the warning signs at the park might have been what doomed Chapek more than anything.
Hannah: "I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
The 1st and 3rd Indy flicks are indeed top notch. I also quite live Temple of Doom, but it is a rougher experience than the other two.

Raiders is the GOAT. Booby-trapped Alfred Molina scared the hell out of me as a kid 😂
