Newsradio Episode "Movie Star" is assigned viewing for any Caan fan. Just absolutely hilarious (as are all Newsradio episodes...)

There's a fits-and-starts coup simmering in time for 2024, our money is smoldering if not flatly on fire, and the political forecast internationally is ranging from "fricked" to "fucked" whether or not Trump has any federal leverage in the next two years.

I'm glad there's three United States Senators tackling the real big issue, which is that my phone charger is cheap and works as intended. Thank God Almighty for that.

Dark Blue is definitely Kurt Russell’s most underrated film. I am probably the only person reading this who saw it in the theater.

This evermore growing consensus amongst critics and film nerds that 'Thief' is the best Mann movie I find suspect.

James Caan will always be Brian Piccolo to me.

Totally agree about copyright law. If I can’t keep a movie/show/song it’s only a rental.

I absolutely love Bull Durham. And baseball. And the now defunct Fort Worth Cats.

Yes, Thief is indeed the defining James Caan movie. A forgotten gem. Also, Bull Durham is indeed the best sports movie ever made.

A mandate for a universal charger doesn't strike me as government overreach, and all the gratuitous insults -- nameless bureaucrats actually have names and usually do the best they can -- seems like overreach of a different kind. Please be kind! Thank you for the James Caan appreciation.

I am so happy you identified the signature James Caan movie as Thief, which in retrospect is an earlier, more intriguing version of Heat. Thank you for a thoughtful tribute to the actor

While I love the appreciation of James Caan, the rant about universal chargers not so much. The European Union is establishing such a standard. The wastefulness and cost to the environment of so much cord switching is absurd. The marketplace hasn't responded to consumer outrage because of the cash incentives for not doing so. If I carry three apple devices and my kindle I need three different cords. As to $3 cords on Amazon, have you every fried a device with an off-market charger? Or a charger that lasts 6 weeks and then winds up in the electronic recycling bin? I have.
