Did you see Cavill’s Warhammer announcement? I really do think he left The Witcher because the writers were straying too far from the source, and not so much to go back to Superman. He’s about to go full turbo-nerd at Amazon with the WH40K stuff.
For me, Adam Sandler is worse than fingernails on a chalkboard. A few years ago I lasted only 15 minutes after having been dragged into a movie theatre to sit in his pool of nonsense. Sandler shows how badly formed America's sense of humor is. Please Adam, retire from show business to get your trash out of the public sphere! Bleech!
Adam Sandler was wasted on me in his youth (which did not coincide with my youth). In Spanglish, after he asks Téa Leoni if she had sex with another man and she confirms it, she says, “I made up my mind that I’d answer all of your questions.” He responds, “What other questions could there be?” Watching him in that simple moment of shock and grief, I was hooked and knew he was a real one.
Adam Sandler got me with “50 First Dates”. I had not expected that sweetness out of him. If he did nothing else with his career, that one would’ve been enough.
Not enough conversation is happening around Adam Sandler’s movie “Hustle” this year. It’s a classic Sandler movie in that his character is an average Joe, with a movie start playing his wife, and his filled with cameos from recognizable faces (including past and current SNL members.)
He gives an understated performance, but the kind that reminds you that he is a solid and reliable actor.
Adam Sandler: Comic Genius
Adam Sandler is not my cup of tea as a comedian.
That said he, Robin Williams and Jim Carrey have each turned out great film performances.
So while I may not "dig" their comedy styles I appreciate them as good actors.
And Sandler does deserve the recognition.
Big fan of Adam Sandler in all his permutations...
So, I agree on that...lol
I have been pleasantly surprised at the way Adam Sandler has matured as an actor. He doesn’t play the same guy in every appearance.

One word: bleah.
I am neutral albeit slightly turned off by most Adam Sandler flicks. But absolutely love Punch Drunk Love. Cannot believe that was 20 years ago!
1. Adam Sandler is not funny.
2. Huckleberry Finn is not a humorous novel. That doesn't mean Mark Twain wasn't hilarious. Have you even read Mark Twain?
